Our Story
Events, Etc…was founded in 1983 by Bobbie Fakkema, becoming one of the pioneers in the hospitality industry. It has been an exciting adventure serving the corporate world, brides, celebrating varieties of birthdays and other social occasions.
Entrepreneurial in the truest sense of the word..Bobbie was honored with the prestigious award of “Woman Entrepreneur of the Year” in San Francisco in 1990. She was one of the original members of NAWBO Silicon Valley (National Association of Women Business Owners) and president in 1991. Events, Etc.. has also been in the “Top 50 Women in Business” in Silicon Valley in 2001 and 2003, and has earned the distinguished award from NACE San Francisco “Catered Event of the Year.”
Our philosophy includes serving our community by making donations to Child Advocates,
The Hunger Project, Ronald McDonald House, The Boys and Girls Club and many other charities. |
