Welcome to Kingfish Restaurant! We hope you enjoy our tribute to the great chefs, artists, musicians and fun loving people of the South and particularly the city of New Orleans. Kingfish is named after Huey P. Long, governor of Louisiana from 1928-1932. He gave himself the nickname "Kingfish". His slogan was, "Every Man A King."
No city we have ever been to is more passionate about eating out and having fun. It is a mecca for artists of all types. Some of today's greatest chefs are from the South - Emeril Lagasse, Frank Brightsen, Paul Prudomme, Jan Birnbaum, Susan Spicer and the Paristyle chef are just a few. New Orleans' port history is what has created the unbelievably diverse cuisine and the indelible culinary marks that the French, Spanish, Italian and Asian chefs allow us the freedom of creating food to please and savor no matter where it originates from.
Playing off the fresh seafood and produce of our region as well as flying in fresh product from around the world, Kingfish features a world class wine program that pays tribute to all of the immigrants that landed in the ports of New Orleans as well as the great wines of California.
The place is full of wild Southern Folk Art from Mark Bercier, Sainte James Boudrot, Robert Harris, RA Miller, Sue Millon to name a few. As they say in New Orleans - Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler! |
