About Us
In Year 2004, prior to opening CitizenThai, I had explored at twelve major international cities. These expreiences readied me to delvelop my lastest restaurant concept Citizen Thai and the Monkey. Throughout each trip I learned as mush as I could about each country, including local food and, in particular, how Asian restaurant differ from one place to the next. I learned that though everybody may be starting with the same recipes, chef will change how each dish tastes based on their own preferences and local customs.
The name Citizen Thai and the Monkey came from my (Aom)'s International travels. I am very proud of my Thai heritages, culture and food. Each piece of art and furniture throughout the new restuarant showcases Thai culture and were handpicked in Thailand. It tooks a long time and a few trips to find all the right pieces then coordinate getting them shipped back to the US. |
