Almost 30 years ago Boudin’s owner and master baker Steve Giraudo, Sr. decided to open the first retail demonstration bakery on Fisherman’s Wharf. His goal: to bring the freshness and flavor of the original San Francisco Sourdough French bread to a whole new group of San Franciscans and travelers alike.
